Subject: 10 Week Trim Challenge! 14th July - 22nd September

Would anyone like to join me in a weight loss challenge?

I need to be held accountable Cool

 

 

 

Rules of engagement are:

Weigh in every week on the Monday, for 10 weeks, until Monday the 22nd of September!

Monday simply so you can't pig out over the weekend Cry

Make sure you weigh yourself same time of day each time for an accurate reading! 

 

Simple?

I will go in with you for the sake of accountability. In the interest of full disclosure, my first race is the 14th of September, so if I need to reprioritize I will, but I imagine that eating well and tracking weight is not counterproductive to training.   Although, since we have about 25 posts between us, if this is all out of order, I am also happy to wait for the next "official" challenge group too.

I'll Join. I'm back to tri training after a year of being a couch potato and need to lose those extra pounds to get back into race shape! A little accountability couldn't hurt.

I'm game!! I actually started a while ago (at 220.... yikes!) so I won't be losing anything quickly, but accountability never hurt anyone. I'll weigh tomorrow (or rather today) when I go to the gym, and then post again!

Ok,  I joined a bike challenge and it's been having good results, so let's see if this works, too.    I weighed in this morning at 151.  My next race is September 9, so I'd love to lose 5 by then.  Are we going to have teams or buddies?  Always helps to feel like I have to hold my end up for the team.

I"m in!  I am finishing up another weight loss challenge this friday.  I'll join this one to continue my weight loss after that one is over. :p  Since this is a 2 month weight loss challenge I will set my sites as a realistic 10 pounds (195lbs or so).  It seems like the weight is getting harder to lose than it was when I was 247, hehe.

Goal: 195.0
7/14 : 206.4  (50.7% Hydration)

I'll join. I'm training for a tri on Aug 24.

I hurt my back over 2 years ago. At the time, I had been working out 3-4x a week and running 5Ks. I weighed about 130. Now I weigh 141, and it's been stubbornly going nowhere since I started working out a few weeks ago (although it is starting to firm up). After injuring my back, my only exercise for 1-1/2 years was physical therapy.

Living in Texas, we always have the temptations of BBQ, Mexican food and fried food. I want to make sure I maintain my strength and energy while dropping 10 lbs. Heck, I'd be happy to drop 5lbs, but getting back to where I used to be would be so nice. I refuse to believe that having a gut and back flab is part of being 49!

Eating smart usually has the good effect of giving me a lot more energy. After I eat something like a hamburger on a bun with fries or a big sandwich, I just want to sleep.

Hello... if there's still room, I'd like to join in.

I've just recently started back to eating better and working out again, beginning with swimming. Over the past couple of months or so, I've gone from my highest weight of around 265 down to 252 as of weighing myself this morning--but considering I'm only 5'9 I still have a loooong way to go.

So... officially:

7/14/08: 252 ...so far I think this makes me the fattest of the bunch

Goal? Not sure... in 10 weeks? Maybe 10-12 pounds? So, 240ish?

 Weight this morning was 195.5.  I've been floating around that weight for the past 6 months.  Time to try some accountability.  Goal weight:  175.

 Oh yes - this is my first post.  I'll try to get something into introductions in the next couple of days.

I am In at 202.4. I was hoping to start at under 200, but with a little luck i'll be there next week. I even took a few before shots, that I might post for some additional inspiration.

My ultimate goal is about 150 lbs. I don't know what my ten week goal will be.

Yes. I'm in. A few hours out from you though. Just joined and aiming to lose 25lbs more.

Was 156, now 151 lbs. But cretainly could do with some accountability to keep me going.

I am a day late, but would like to be counted in.  Having a hard time working out due to a tendon problem in my foot.  This will help to keep me from becoming too sedentary.

Weight on 7/14: 176 lbs.

Goal:  10 lbs.

Sorry for the late weigh-in, we had electrical issues the past couple of days. But I did weigh myself on Monday, so I'm still (basically) on target.

So, I'm a bit obsessive about weighing myself, and weighed myself again this morning.  I know it is probably just a fluctuation, but I weighed in at 149!!!!!!  It felt SOOOO good not to have to move that big weight on the balance scale over that next click.  I've been being good about eating, and working out a bunch, so maybe it's real....cross fingers.....maybe I won't be an athena any more....  if this is real, it will be the first time the scale has budged for me in a whole year of training.
