Subject: Anybody planning an OWS?

Hey I would like to get in an OWS sometime before Oct. 11.  I would like to get re-familiarized with my wetsuit, considering I have only used it one time.  I can't do it this weekend because I'll be at a wedding the whole time but anytime after that would be great.  Let me know if anybody is thinking the same thing!

We can definitely plan another OWS after this weekend. What swim area is convenient for you?

Welllllllll I live Downtown so really it's not like anything is going to be too too close.  I know you guys like MAP and Red Top mountain I think, and I believe both are about the same distance from me so it is really dependent on what is most convenient for you guys.

Put out the invitation and maybe we can round up some peeps doing IM FL or other late tris. I imagine there won't be many. I prefer Red Top Mountain, since I live close by there, but if you decide on somewhere else, I can probably arrange that as well.

Yeah I was checking out Red Top lake and it seemed pretty sweet for practice.  Would you just start swimming from the public beach, and like anyway to really mark our distance?  I suppose distance isn't really too much of a priority since I just want a good wetsuit swim.  Anyways Sat. the 4th or Sunday the 5th seems like the best bet for me.

Actually yeah Dallas Landing seems good also, and is even closer.  The 5th sounds great so let's get a group together!!

Dallas Landing is good by me too, but Red Top Mountain is nicer and safer (and not much further). Plus, I've mapped the distances with G-map. But, what ever. I'm good for either.

I might be interested!  Dallas Landing or Red Top is fine...but I'd prefer DL since it's closer and there is less chance of running out of gas on the way there.

I think the 4th would work better.  And if anyone wants to hit the SCT afterwards for a 3:00 ride, that would be even better!  Rocketman?  Don't you have a race coming up?

I am going to have to bail on this one...we haven't been to church in 2 weeks and that would make 3. I am still interested in getting one together in the next few weeks though.

I'm definitely in for an OWS in the next few weeks.  Want to give the wetsuit one more round before Florida Challenge.

A friend of mine and a bunch of his friends are meeting at Mary Alice Park at 7:30 AM on Saturday to swim for 1 hour, followed by an aerobic run.
