A question for the ladies...

Normally I race sprint/oly distances in a swimsuit (typically a very tight 1 piece with a light support bra underneath), but in 2 weeks I'll be doing my first HIM. Yay! The training has been great and I'm ready to roll... however, I really don't want to do this distance in a bathing suit.

Ideally, I would like to find a tank that is both long enough to cover my tummy AND supportive enough for me not to have to wear an additional bra underneath. I'm a 34C (small C).

It seems like most tanks out there have "shelf bras" and that pretty much means that a second bra would be needed. I own a few Moving Comfort bras for stand-alone running and they definitely eliminate the 'bounce', so I got the bright idea that maybe I could just wear one of their tanks during the HIM (swim will be wetsuit legal). Has anyone tried this before?

I was looking at these options:

Also, even if you haven't worn this tank for a triathlon, please provide me with some feedback on it. Length? True to size? etc...

Thanks so much, ladies!!!

I wore a Nike tank in my last sprint.  I was a 36C but due to some weightloss, I'm moreso a full B now.  I've had the same concerns with the shelf bras built into those shirts; however I bought the nike tank in a size small and it works perfectly.  It was snug to my body for the swim and it gave plenty of support for the run.

So, regardless of the brand you select, I wonder if simply sizing down one size might do the trick for you because you NEED it to be snug.  Two weeks isn't much time!  You better get to shopping so that you'll have time to test swim/bike/run in whatever you decide on.

And congratulations on the HIM!  Woo hoo!!!!!  I'll have to come back and check on you in two weeks!
