Subject: fell off the wagon.....need sugar advice

13 months ago I totally changed my eating, cut out a lot of sugars, concentrated on getting better  veggies, protein, and complex carbs..of course started feeling so much better.  Past month, I really fell off the wagon with sugar....it's like i can't get enough....having a hard time getting back into my good eating routine...the cravings are awful, feel sluggish and ashamed and weak willed!!  Any word of advice to get me back on track, any inspiring stories?

 thanks!

Not sure what works for you/motivates you, but for me, when I fall on the wagon a no bs, no drama approach just works best.  Get over it.  You are choosing to eat the crap.  Make a decision that you're done, and do it.  It's just hunger.  It's just cravings.  So what?

In all seriousness, it's a vicious cycle and I HAVE to just quit.  Period.  And I've found that if I can make it 3 days with no cheats I'm totally fine.  So, for me, I *know* all I have to do is make it 3 days and I'm in the clear.  But it is a HARD 3 days.

You can so do this!

First, eating sugar isn't the end of the world.  Second, eating only crap will affect your health and training.  When I fall off the wagon, I tell myself before I have anything with sugar or HFCS I will eat some of my 5-9 daily servings of fruits and vegetales.  That way, I get the good stuff in before the crap.

I was once in your position, ate totally clean, fell off the wagon about two years ago and have had a tough time going through it again. Now, I try to limit sugar, but not eliminate it.

Good luck.
