Subject: Which bike should I use for LP ironman?
Hello
I will be attempting my first IM at LP. With the big climbs there would I be better off using my road bike that my tri bike. If I use my road bike will put a set of the mini ITU style aero bars on. My road bike is a Cervelo R3. It weighs 15lb even. My tri bike is probably close to 20lb, its a Fuji aloha CF1. I have heard there is a big 10k climb to finish the bike leg. Kinda feel like I would like the road bike for climbing. Any LP vets care to enlighten me on the LP bike corse???

It's a tri-bike course as long as your position is better (aerodynamics & comfort) on said tri-bike.

There is definitely some climbing to be had, but it's also a very aero course -- use the tri bike . Good luck!
