I am doing a sprint tri in October, as it is only a 9 mile bike ride was thinking of using my running shoes for bike section, thought it would save me some time in T2, i have some caged pedals i can start training with, but, here is question do you guys think it will hinder my overall performance?Has any body else done this?Do you recommend it...Just can't make up my mindOh and in last race my t1 time was 1 min 22 and t2 was 1min 11.thanks in advance Sarah

I definately think the advantages of actual bike shoes and pedals outweighs any extra time in transition.  Will it hinder your overall performance...i think if you train for the next month with clipless pedals and shoes youd would more than likely be faster out on the course
