Subject: Half Ironman Training Plan, Base QuestionsI was reviewing a HIM 18 week training plan that I really like. But the first 3 weeks, the beginning base modular, has extremely low end fitness workouts. IE. 500 yard swims, 30 min on the bike. I will be starting this planing mid May, my "B" race is in mid June, and in my mind, the base phase is just too easy (I have looked at the whole plan, I am full aware of how hard it is going to get. ) Do I stick with the plan and do these easy workout, full knowing my fitness is well past these workouts, or do I ramp it up a little?
