So I've decided that my tri season is over and to get over last w/e's disappointment I plan to thrash my legs doing this race:

It's a trail half-mara in Westchester celebrating the opening of the Colonial Greenway, a 13-or-so mile loop through local parks and greenways. I am short on miles for this but love to run on the trails and it's local - and a 9am start. 12 of the 13.1 miles are on trails. I ran the Saxon Woods section last night (miles 4-7.5) and for trails these are fairly dreamy not like the gnarly buggers we have up in Faifield County.

Anyone else tempted?

Come on, it's *just* a wedding. 9 am start, you could be done by 11 (? maybe?). The trails need you.

Can't do the race, but thank you for the link to the Colonial Greenway. I had no idea this even existed, and I only live about 4 miles from Saxon Woods. I think this will open up a ton of new running routes for me. Thanks!
