I kind of like reading about all the statistics. They told us at the volunteer appreciation party that 96% of everyone that started the race, finished before cutoff.   WOW!!!!  Don't know if you guys knew that or not.  I knew everyone on BT finished.   You guys are amazing.  I can't wait to belong to your club.  Just a tidbit of info for you.

Not only that, but they gave us a 1 minute time bonus!!!!!!

I think the 70 degree weather had a lot to do with the record number of finishers. . ..  It was a good race on a good day. . .

Yes, I heard that at the awards baquent.  Mike Riley read off some stats and included that one.  I think he said it was the highest finisher rate in NA IM history.

IMCdA is similar.  2032 official finishers out of 2153 who started (94.4%).  9 of the 121 who DNF'd are pros who have to balance one race performance against a yearly business and most likely dropped out to put themselves in better position to win other races.

Little more resolution:  2153 total, 2152 with recorded swim times (not sure if the one without a swim time was just not recorded, or did not finish the swim).  2097 with bike splits, so 55 dropped during the bike (assuming no misses on the timing, and none of the DNF's had a run split without a bike split).  2032 finished, so 64 dropped during the run (including those who finished after the 17-hour limit).

We don't know how many of the 112 AG'ers who DNF'd finished after the 17:00 cutoff (I heard at least one BT'er did so).  IMKY probably had a few of these as well.
