Subject: RE: Keyano Alternative(s)I was put in Keyano's a couple of years ago. I wear a 4E and and need stability, so I don't have a lot of options. I was very disappointed in the Keyano 15's, they didn't seam to have the same amount of room as the 13's & 14's. I tried a couple of different brands after that, but went back to the Keyano's, so I guess that pair cost about $300 including the two pair I don't wear. However, I did recently go a total different way. I got a new pair of K-Swiss K-Ona (the blue ones ). They only have regular widths, don't have a lot of support, and are A LOT LIGHTER, but feel great. I have done a couple of long runs (13 miles ) and did my last HIM in them. I had no problems. I started my marathon training, and have gone back to my Keyano's, but I think I might incorporate the K-Swiss, and see if they will work for me for 26.2 miles. Oh, when my running store told me 'that will be $90', I said cool $40 extra dollars, show me some goodies! |
