I lived there for some of my undergrad, almost 20 years ago. No car, but the buses are decent.
Mt. Lemmon, NE outside of town, is (was? ) the southernmost ski area in the US. Also, it's a great place to rock climb and bike up to.
I was climbing one day, about halfway up the highway. I was getting ready to belay, and I backed right into a barrel cactus!
It might be different now, but back then, you didn't want to really go south of 6th St. Naturally, UofA is on 6th street... |
