Subject: RE: Reducing fibre before big raceI think this falls under the category of "do what works for you." I, too, have a high fibre diet but, other than dinner the night before a race (I keep it light ), I do not change my pre-race diet. In fact, my pre-race breakfast is always a big bowl of oatmeal with flax, wheat bran, and some sort of in-season fresh fruit. It works for me. That said, I know several folks who just cannot tolerate much pre-race fibre. Everyone's GI system works differently, again, do what works for you. |
