Subject: Stomach bug 2 weeks before HIMUnfortunately, my whole family got hit by a bad stomach bug this past week, with my turn being yesterday. Thankfully I am out of the bed and able to hold down some food now, but am missing some big workouts. I already missed a long run last weekend and cut short some other workouts when my wife was sick, and am now concerned that I am not going to be ready for my race in 2 weeks.
Hopefully I will feel good enough to workout tomorrow and monday, but do not expect to be able to do a 3+hour bike ride and 2 hour run.
My plan was to start tapering this week, but should I adjust my schedule and workout more than I was planning on and only taper for 1 week?
Any thoughts/suggestions? |
