Posted below in GA forum but since I am signed up for IM CdA, thought I'd ask in here as well:

I am back in the pool these days learning how to swim again after a few years off. I don't have a swimming background and even when I did tri's I never spent too much time in the pool.

I'm now going a few times per week. After each session, I sneeze for 5-10 times and I sound stopped up all day. And not to be gross but my nose also seems to run while I am swimming.

Does anybody else deal with this? Is this from the chlorine or am I sucking too much water in my nose? Suggestions or thoughts?

I get that often, I've always chalked it up to allergies to the chlorine.

Use Neti Pot to flush out your sinuses after swims. Seriously helped me with my sinus issues after swimming.

x2 on the netti pot after you swim. gets all the bacteria out and helps me keep sinus infections and even ear infections at bay

Thats kind of funny, because I am the exact opposite. Many times when I swim I am stuffed up to start with and after the swim, I am clear breathing.... I exhale a bunch out of my nose too.

X3 on the sinus rinse.  I use it after OWS also.
