Subject: I am "Svelte"
Hah, I just had a meeting with Sales Guy from one of our Vendors that I have not spoken to in a year or so.  When I met him at the door with a somewhat suprised look on his face he says "Hmm, you look svelte".  It was pretty cool and while I know I have at least 20 more pounds to go and I don't see my self as "svelte" it was still a good feeling.  We also spoke for a bit about triathlons and training, I get really giddy excited when I get on this subject.  That's all, just feeling good and sharing.

I hear you.  A week ago I was at the doctor and having a conversation about osteoporosis and menopause and all that sort of thing.  She was assessing my osteoporosis risk and referred to me as "Caucasian and slight."  Slight??  Me??  I was walking on air all day.  And to think I still have about ten pounds to go.

A family friend described me as "svelte" a few months ago.  Made my day even though she was comparing me against her 5'8" 200 lb daughter.

Same stuff here. I came back from summer break down 20 lbs from the end of school and a haircut, and I had to introduce myself to some friends, and my roomate's parents. I may be vain, but I like the way I am looking, and other people are noticing.

I've been told I'm "built like a brick @hit-house" and look "mean."  I'm 5'4", 132#.  Hmm,  I think it was a compliment....  So, don't worry about it... always consider the source and continue on your amazing path!
