Subject: HTFU or stupid?I was running down the stairs to the front door this afternoon when I stumbled on the steps and fell hurting my second toe on my left foot. Over the next few hours it improved and didn't bruise or anything so when my husband got home I taped it, threw on my shoes and since it felt pretty good I went for my long run (~4.5 miles ). It hurt a little while I was running but nothing that made me think I should stop so I did my run as planned. When I got back and walked my cool down I could barely put any weight on it and when I took of my shoe my toe had turned lots of bright colors that are inappropriate for healthy toes. So I'm thinking (with the clarity of hindsight ) maybe I should have skipped the run tonight but now I'm wondering if I should bag my swimming and biking for the weekend. Thoughts? |
