Subject: Organizing Shoes
We have a serioius showe problem at my house.  My wife dislikes shoes in the house (I stopped fighting that battle LONG ago) so we keep most of the in the garage where we have an area set aside with some chairs and a set of drawerrs with out workout stuff (Garmin, sunglasses, hats etc..)etc.. I works well except for the shoes.

Right now have a set of plastic shelves that house them all.  There are 3 of us and we each have several pairs (everyday, running, beach running, flip flops, Berks, boots etc..)  They end up in a pile...

Anyone know of any handy organizing thing-a-ma-jobs that might help keep them organized?

In my workout room closet I have one of those shoe organizers with slots for each shoe. If I remember correctly, I think it came from Target.

That would work.  Now multiply the # of shoes by about 5   I like how it looks however.  I'll check it out.

Yeah we have issues.  In fact today our tri store was having a blow out sale.  The wife and I each got 2 more pair.  Just because they were an incredible deal.

What I have done is line up 4 of those white plastic patio planters on the floor of my laundry room closet. Every family member gets their own box to toss assorted shoes into. Works like a charm. When you live in a climate like mine there is NO WAY you could keep them in the garage though.......at temps of -30 to -40C the shoes would soon crack and be ruined!

We have to be very careful out here in the Las Vegas desert, because shoes outside of the house, even in the garage are wonderful hiding places for scorpians, spiders, and other creatures that dislike feet being shoved in there without checking first.

For the cost of my carbon bike shoes, wifey is lucky they are not stored under my pillow.
