Subject: First race in 2 days! Nervoushi everyone, I am signing up tomorrow for my first sprint. I have been training but i am worried about surviving the entire distance as i have only done run/swim or bike/run bricks and then not many! the race is 1/2 mile swim in a lake, 21 mile bike on an extremely hilly course and a run 4.9 miles. my weakest is the bike as i have only done 18 miles as my longest in training. i just started swimming last year for the first time in my life and average 2:24/100yds with my longest 4000 yds but average 3000 yds 2-3 times per week. my running is the strongest with 35 miles/week average 8:15/mile for 7 miles. what is your opinion on how i may do? should i really take the bike easy as it is the newest and most undertrained area? thanks tg
