sciatic nerve inflamation and acupuncture ?

Any of you ever had acupuncure treatments for sciatic nerve inflammation , I just heard that it was miraculous vs physio and chiro. just liked to get some opinion on this before consulting.

Steve if you try it and it works please, please, please post and let us know. I've been looking for help for a while. Nothing I do seems to help. I'm willing to look like a pin cushion if I can get a good nights sleep with out the sciatic pain.
