Subject: RE: Clipless pedals....daijoubu - 2008-09-26 10:18 AM Crank brothers pedals get recommended often as they're inexpensive and have multi-sided entry. Those are both good qualities for your first set of clipless pedals. X2 CB's Quattro road pedals are a great all-round pedal and great for newbs. Double-sided with 4 points of cleat entry, adjustable float, easy to clip out, no maintenance, low profile for good turning clearance, the cleats won't clog with debris, which is paramount if you plan on running in the shoes in transition. The cleats also make said running easy with the low profile of the cleat itself. There are different models, from stainless (cheap) to titanium ($$$) and they come in many colours to match your ride, if that kind of thing is important to you. ETA that I just realized that in the 4 years I've been hanging around BT, I don't think anyone has ever posted a negative thing about the Quattro pedals, unlike some negative reviews that other pedals get such as Speedplay, SPD.
