Can't believe you guys let this go until now...  Sheesh.

Anyway, who's racing???  Tomorrow is my last race of the year (except maybe some running things).  Treadman Duathlon (3/19/3) in Douglas, MN.  Nasty hill at mile 3 on the bike and then nice rollers the rest of the way.  Since I suck at running, I'm going like a rabid beast on the bike to try to gain some ground.  Then I'll probably die on the second run.  Good fun.

Next weekend for me. Final stages of prep this week. I was doing soooo good then I got these friggin' allergies from hell. I was wheezing, hacking, felt like crap. Doc even had me on steroids and inhalers. Now I am trying to find a balance between going to hard and still trying to get in some decent workouts for the race next weekend. Not going to be a great time by any means, but at least I will be racing!

Local sprint for fun tomorrow.  It looks like it's going to be my first race in the rain, so it may be an adventure.

Actually, you're way late to the party...

No worries though.  I don't mind saying that I have my first HIM in two days!  South Carolina Half.  Can't wait!  This taper BS is killing me!

Was suppose to have my first Oly on Sunday.  They changed the swim to 800m though, It'll still be a good tri though.  It's the Boilerman at Purdue, anyone else doing this race?

Oooh, ooh, me!!!

Last tri of the year.

Cape Henlopen Sprint.

But with the way all the crap off in the Atlantic looks I'm thinking they are going to make it into a Du and not a Tri.  Disappointing, but unlike last week when that happened I am going all out for the podium if it happens this time!!

Will be there also.  I will be the one dealing with 2 screaming kids while my wife races.  Her first OWS.

There's a 15 mile road race. They drop us off in some 200 population town 15.202 miles away and we race back. I'm running 11 miles to the drop off - that way I get marathon in this year.

I did this on a whim, signed up a few weeks ago. But I'm confident my HIM training will get be through it.

Wouldn't call it "racing" though. Still getting back my endurance after a hamstring tear in June. Just going out for the distance and the camaraderie .

Jailbreak offroad tri Saturday.  My last one of the year.  4.5 mile canoe, 8 mile mtn bike and a 2.5 mile trail run.  It is an end of the season "fun" event!

last Tri of the season for me. I am doing Carpinteria (Olympic Course) on Sunday.

This race is mostly for fun simply because I just spent the last 9 weeks doing a Marathon Training Cycle and am now tapering. My plan called for a Tuneup Race this weekend (10-15k Race) and it is not too much of stretch for me to call this a "Tuneup".

No time goals, just gonna get out there and have some fun

3rd Annual Chambersburg Tri, sponsored by the Chambersburg (PA) YMCA. Bike part described as hilly and rural. Looks like there might be some rain in south central PA, and that should make the bike leg loads of fun. Rode it for the first time yesterday. Will be my first event in an indoor pool. Checked out the pool yesterday...hot, humid, ultra-chlorinated...OY.

I managed a last minute entry into the (sold out) Carpinteria Sprint Triathlon in Southern California. It is said to be one of the swimmer-friendliest beaches around (little to no swell or current, 65 degrees, etc.) Rolling bike course and scenic run, with some trails I believe. This will be my 3rd of (likely) 4 races in my first season of triathlons.
