Just wanted to reply to a couple questions or comments that came up:
Gaarryy / So this hides the scar from the bionic leg they put in right ?? -- Yes. The bionic leg was attached two weeks ago, but the scar on the right calf was hideous. That's the whole reason for the tattoo. Unfortunately my right leg is too strong now, and I end up swimming in circles all the time, so I've scheduled to get a left bionic leg, too.
velorider62 / Did you do the design or did you find it??? -- I found it on Google Images. I wish I could take the credit for it, but it was someone else's design. (Everyone that saw it at the tattoo shop loved it, too.)
greenmtnman / Cool. Big. I've always toyed with the idea of getting a tattoo. -- Yeah, it is pretty big. Believe it or not, it was originally bigger. We resized it a few times to get it so it wasn't too gaudy.
JohnAgs3 / I just hope its not on the right calf..as that DQs you from any USAT race. -- You actually made me catch my breath for a couple seconds.
windnsnow / Didn't look like it hurt a bit. I'm probably going to cry like a baby. -- Actually, it did hurt, especially when he did the longer lines. There were quite a few people around, though, so I didn't want to show that it hurt. But yeah, it hurt. After a while, though, you kinda get used to the feeling.
rabkaman / How much did that set you back? -- The tattoo cost $100 plus tip. He said he could transfer the initial image to my leg for $20 to see if I still wanted it, and if I did, the $20 would go towards the tattoo. I decided just to pay the full price and get it done.
