I didn't do the race, but would be interested to hear what others thought of it for future reference.

Any idea how large the field was?

I thought the race was pretty well organized for the facilities they had to work with. I had to swim over about 10 people in the pool because I registered the day of and had to start in the back of the snake line. The bike was a very easy to follow course with a couple moderate hills, roads were good and the scenery was decent. The run was completely flat in a residential area They should've posted the mileage better on the run is my only complaint.

I'd say about 100 give or take.

I am dying to see the results though.

Sorry I didn't check this sooner - the results are at:

Funny though, I can't find my name anywhere.  Wonder if anyone else has this problem.  I've got an email out to Todd at Headfirst.

EDIT: and the field size was north of 120

Not a bad race at all.  The swim was a pain, but most snake swims are.  Should have been under 4:20 for the swim and was 5:00.  The bike course was really nice and pretty flat, never got out of the saddle or the large chainring for that matter.  The run was nice.

Like Omaha I was at the very back #390.  Came in 4th overall and first in 30-34.

Omaha, I notice you live in Richmond.  That is where I live as well.  Hit me with a PM.
