It's Monday again, so what's on the schedule for today?

S'posed to be my long run (8 miles) and upper body workout, but I was sick all day yesterday and still feel lousy, so probably just a lot of sleep and self-pity.  Especially since the Broncos lost.

:P

Bike commute this morning - took it easy compared to my normal one. Tonight on the way home I am going to push the hills with a lower gear/higher cadence than I usually use. Since it is Monday it is also my weekly evening for bike maintenance (clean and re-oil the chain, wipe down the entire bike, check all the nuts and bolts for torq/tightness, clean the cogs as best I can and check spoke tensions and break pads.) which only takes about 30-45 minutes if that. Afterwards I may or may not go for a short run (depends on my dogs mood whether it is a run or a brisk walk. At the very least I throw in a 20 minute body circuit and 15 minutes of stretching (both of which are great to do while watching the news) Either way Mondays are usually busy for me!

Found out this AM that I'll get to run a XC 10K on October 18.  So I decided to HTFU and run my 8 miles today anyway - to hell with a virus.

It sucked, but I kept my pace and now (as always) feel better for having just done it.

Ride from work to home - 16 miles along the beautiful Olympic Penninsula - probably the last hot day in Washington!

I'm way behind in posting my daily workouts ... and I can't get the blasted Training Log feature to work - no matter how many times I redo my excel *.cvs file and reupload it ... the info never goes in .....

...... anyhow ... ran 4.25 miles in 53:33 today.  Stretched and spent time in the jacuzzi.
