I was thinking that I may not do another IM after Silverman.  Or at least, not sign up for another one before completing it.

However, if I do another one, I want it to be a destination race and I want it to be FLAT!  so IMFL looks like it could be the only one I could still sign up for next year.

SO, same old routine?  In person sign up the day of the race and online registration starts the day after?  Is that how it will work?

I believe in person is the day after as well, with volunteers given a priority.  And it opens on-line after the on site registration.  I have been known to be wrong once before in my life, so don't hold me to that

 BTW...I dig Ren and Stimpy

Current year athletes can register day before the race, everyone else is day after. There's a very good chance it will sell out on site though, so if you're interested you might want to consider going there this year.

Thanks.  I seriously considered it.  But my IM is the following weekend, and I fear traveling that close to a race.  I seem to get sick half the time I ever fly anywhere.

Guess I may have to do Cancun or Japan or something!  that would be terrible!

I was in the same situation as you this time last year before IMFL.  My hesitation on signing up for IMKY cost me extra $$$ for a Community Fund slot.

Cozumel might be a good option for you - definitely meets your flat criteria and would probably cost about as much to fly and stay as IMFL.  As of a few days ago the registration number was up to 1224 out of 1500, so time is running out.

Indies may the way to go.  You should be able to get into Beach 2 Battleship.
