I am comparing the Nathan Speed 2 with a two bottle Fuel belt. Anybody have any feedback on either one of these products? I like the Nathan because the bottles hold a bit more and it looks like the pocket is bigger. However I am concerned it could be bulky.

I think I've used the majority of the hydration belt systems out there. I don;t enjoy using any of them as they add an enormous amount of weight and they tend to get uncomfrotable no matter how well designed they are. Good for training but I loath to use one in racing. I do notice a few of the top pros use them though.

The thing that differentiated many of them for me was the ability (or inability...) to re-install the battle while actually running a fair clip. In that regard the Nathan is very good, the Fuelbelt models perhaps less so.

There is another version called the Amphipod which s excellent: easy bottle installation and removal.

I think the Nathan four bottle is awesome, I use it for all of my longer runs. I would get a four bottle as it allows you to leave two behind if you dont need them. What I like about the belt is that its comfortable, lightweight, leakproof. The weight of the fluid is evenly distributed around the belt there is no splashing around inside the bottles,  when I run with my handheld 16 oz bottle I find that I have to switch hands often and it throws off my form to one side. On my speed 4 I have a pocket for my keys and Ipod, also an additional pocket for gels. What sold me was the running store I purchased it from strongly recommended it because the bottles are easy to remove and stay when put back in, I have not had any issues.
