Subject: RE: Aero Bar leanFirst, the elbow pads are usually an inch or more higher than the base bar. You could be leaning over way to far for what's comfortable - Crunching the angle between your upper body and lower body. When you get aerobars, you should get fit from them. That should solve the problem. It's a little more than taking existing setup and slapping aero bars on them. Your seat position, stem, and handlebar rise may change as well.
