Anyone ever ride these, or have any thoughts on them?

I'm currently riding a HED Jet C2 60 in the front and a 90 in the back.  I just got the wheels in July and have used them in 4 races and thus far I am a big fan.  The new C2's are a little wider than the other Jets. These have been a really smooth ride...there was only one at this last tri that I felt some wind pushing it, but it was truly minimal....I like 'em.

Per the website, they do not recommend using a 90 on the front. I also see that you have a 60/90 combo. Do you think it would be a huge issue going with a 90/90 set? Originally, I was looking that the Flashpoint 80's, but this wheel set is lighter (979g/1142g vs. 795g/1036g) and about the same price. Actually, they are on sale right now for $495.47 / $599.47 respectfully. Currently, I am a bit stuck between the HED Jet 90's and the HED 3's. Any thought between the two?

I have a C2 90 front, jet disc rear set.  Rode it for IMWI. LOVE IT!  I dont have any problems handling the 90 on the front.  Im 6'1", 180ish.  Those wheels ride so smooth and the C2's corner awesome.  Id say get the 90/90 setup.  Ill be picking up a 90 rear for Kona '09 and thatll be my set of choice when I dont ride the disc.

I went with the 60 front because I'm 5'3" and 130ish lbs, and have a 46cm Q-Roo--so, when I was talking with the shop I was buying the disk from, and knowing that wind does occassionally catch me, we decided that, for me the 60 in the front would give me more control.  So, if you're not really concerned about you getting thrown around in the wind, you'll probably be fine.  Now, I can't speak for the HED3 aero spoke though...so I'll let someone else take that on.

Thanks for the input! I am 5'10", 165 lbs. In windy situations, I can definitely feel the wind, but never have issues controlling the bike. I think I will put a bit more thought into the 90/90 combo, as I really want that deep wheel set. Of course, down the road I will add a disc to the set up for race day.

Rob, you stated you have a HED disc, and love it. How heavy does that feel? I know that sits right at 1,400g, and was the main reason I was looking at the Renn 575 because it is 1,200g, and $500. Any thoughts?

Nevermind, I had the HED disc and HED Jet disc confused. The Jet disc is also 1,200g.

The jet disc is just shy of 1200g,  not 1400. I weighed mine when I first got it. Came in at something like 1190ish naked.  You dont even notice the weight. That wheel is fast for sure.  I wouldnt even blink at the "extra" weight of it...the aero benefits will far outweigh the weight gain.  The disc is stiff as hell too.  The C2 version is coming out soon as well.

Coldfire,

Just wondering where you found them on sale for that price. Was it online any where? Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated as I was looking at picking up a set of the Jet C2s as well and this is a great price!

I have been looking into HED wheels here over the past few weeks. I was pretty set on the Trispoke front and Jet Disc rear. Any thoughts on the C2 versus Trispoke up front?
