Subject: Thoughts on Quintana Roo Caliente
Hey,

I was wondering if anyone had any input, thoughts or opinions on the 2008 Quintana Roo Caliente. Ive been looking for a new bike and took this for a test ride today and fell in love. It felt great and fit great... I have been trying to find some reviews but am not having much luck. All i keep finding are threads about the Real Design wheels that come on the bike, and how horrible they are. The Seduza is about $1000 less, and the only difference seems to be the wheels and some Ultegra components as oppsosed to Dura-Ace. Would anyone recommend going with the Seduza to save some $ since the wheels arent that great anyway? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have an older Caliente that I had RD wheels put on as an upgrade. The following year model ( I think) they came with RD wheels stock. The RD wheels ran true with the exception of two broken spokes for 3 years hauling my 185 lbs. around. They were in need of re lacing, so I opted to upgrade my wheels this year instead. I will get them re-laced to use elsewhere or to sell. If I were in your shoes I would get the Seduza and spend the 1K on a wheelset off your chosing. I don't think you will gain or lose any performance between the two framesets and component groups. The wheels on the Caliente are what will make it a faster bike than the Seduza. If you are reluctant to use them, selecting the wheelset of you chosing will probably make you happier in the long run.
