Regular  83  New York |  Subject: It is official!I am a TRIATHLETE! I just did Cedar Beach. Finished with a time just around 2:20. I wanted to post to say thank you for everyones support in the 6 weeks leading up to the race. Especially last week when I was panicking about the OWS. It was crazy out there today the waves were insane. I have never seen the sound so rough... but I focused on the advice you had all given me and stayed calm remembering to swim my own swim (which at many points was floating on my back. Total swim time for 3/4 mile was about 42 mintues... which I will take under the conditions - even though my goal was 35 minutes. What a fantastic event today. I look forward to the next one! Thank you all again so very much. Without my BT support I would never have gotten to the starting line... let alone the finish line. |

Yesterday's race was quite the introduction to triathlon, I know many seasoned triathletes who DNF'd because of the swim conditions. You should be proud of yourself for dedicating the time to prepare for it and stepping up to the start line, I hope you enjoyed every minute of yesterday!
