Subject: Pics of Pinehurst tri start
Several folks commented in their race reports on the mist/fog at the start of the race. I thought it was very cool to start like that, even though you had no idea where to swim. My wife got a couple of nice pics that I thought I would share. I hope they load...

that's awesome.  The outdoor pool I swam at just recently shut down for the winter.  For a while in the mornings, the air temp would be in the high 50's with water temps in the low 70's or high 60's and it would fog up like that.  Makes for really cool swimming.

I've always wondered what its like to be the leader in a race like that.  Can't be easy.  Maybe someday I'll find out.

Excellent Pics!!!

Wuaoo!!! It must be very difficult to swim in that kind of conditions...LOL I can't imagine the leader...he/she must know the swim course very well...I would be lost...LOL

I did the SavageMan in the mountains of western Maryland a few weeks ago and our swim was the same way.

try driving an Aircraft Carrier in that visibility!  (reminds me of the San Diego harbor almost every day in May)
