Subject: Serenbe 15k Trail Run - Nov. 15, 2008

This past weekend I went with some friends to dinner at a new eco-friendly community called Serenbe in Palmetto, GA (about 30 min. south of Atlanta).  I was totally surprised by what I found in an area that seemed like the middle of nowhere to me.  It is a 1,000 acre community that is dedicated to maintaining 80% of its land for greenspace.  There is an inn, stables, restaurants, 25 acre organic farm, neat shops, etc.  And the restaurant we ate at, The Hil, was really great food.

While there, I picked up a November calendar of events for the community and there is a 15k trail run on Sat., 11/15 at 8am.  It looks like a beautiful setting for a trail run.  Just thought I'd pass along the info.

Sounds like a ton of fun and is only 30 minutes away for me. Does anybody know of anything cool to do around the area after the race?

Sounds like a fun race, even though this Serenbe community reminds me of that movie The Village =)
