Subject: shaking problem after exercise -help!

I have a friend who asked me to post this to BT for suggestions.  Any feedback you could give would be great. Thanks for helping out.

I know you belong to a tri web site/ group. If you get the chance could
you ask if anyone has had shaking problems. I've been having some
obvious shaking after an activity. It would be most obvious during
transition times. I had the same problem at Riverwood, then now after I
swim and Stacy pointed it out after tour de femme. It doesn't effect me
when I'm moving or at least I don't notice it. I've got a Dr. appt for
tomorrow but I'm not sure if this would fall in her area of expertise.
I'm thinking it's blood sugar or just some other deficiency that would
be fixable with some sort of supplement or maybe OJ. Thanks!

I would have to agree with the assumption of blood sugar being low and/or maybe not enough hydration prior to the event. I haven't had it happen often, but there have been a few times where I'm slightly light headed and get shaky, and I right then I know I need some food.  It happens more often when I'm not well hydrated and maybe ate really light the day before or haven't had anything substantial that day as well.

If he's doing sustained workouts longer than an hour (1.5+) he ought to be taking in some sort of nutrition during the training itself.  I'm not a nutritionist or doc though...but from all I've read and what works for me...just my two cents.
