Awesome.

6 fast run, then a mile swim. (I was going to ride 15 before the run, but Jimmy Buffet kept on playing encores last night at Manassas and we just weren't leaving till he did, so I posered this morning and slept in.)

And I am tapering, sort of, for Nation's. But Eagleman training starts next Monday, so I gotta get me some of that 14 hour training week....

Did my second-ever tri today, and this was my first oly/intl distance - I loved it!  St Croix Valley Tri in Hudson, WI.  We had great weather, and it was a well-done race with not a ton of racers - that was kinda nice! Plus, a huge luau & pig roast afterwards - yum!

Cheers, Chris

I went bike shopping.  Smile  Picked up a Trek Madrone 4.1.  It's not actually what I intended to buy but the bike fit me well, road well, great price, blah blah blah.  Going to break it in with a whole lot of climbing tomorrow.

Fifteen mile bike ride with the boyfriend this morning, and a half mile swim this afternoon.  Lake won't be warm enough for much longer, even with the wetsuit!

Hanging around the farm finishing up a few little projects before going back to school tomorrow.  Three mile run later today.  At some time today I have to write my race report for the Treadman Duathlon.  Then I have to figure out what to do with 4 classes of ninth graders for their first week of high school.  That's a lot of pressure.

I had a wonderful 56 miles bike ride (Miami Man Bike Course) followed for 2.20 miles run yesterday...that...

I decided to have an easy 25 miles bike ride early this morning to only move/shake legs....Hope to swim this afternoon if the weather allows me...It has not cooperated lately here in South Florida...

Did a 21 mile bike ride in prep for this season's last tri this coming Saturday. Swam a quick 500 yards in the neighborhood pool during lifeguard break later on (no kids in the pool at that time). Last day the neighborhood pool is open this season.  Boo-hoo, I hate to see summer come to an end.

Today: Tapering for Nations so slowing down here in Frederick, Maryland. Biked to pool for 2X1000 M swim, then biked the long way home (but still just a short commuter ride ~ 6 miles total), then took Miya the dog out for a short 2 mile hill run.

For Eagle, I am not really training hard-focused on Cambridge yet.... I've got a few running races left this year (Army 10 miler and Seagull Century Bike - October and Philly1/2 - November), but I've never done a 1/2M-dot before, so I want to keep my fitness level pretty high through the fall to start building for Cambridge after first of the year. (I'm newb enough that 70.3 is big life challenge yada yada yada and all that drama. ) I'm a little anxious about staying swim-fit over the winter, (indoors at the Y, 25 yards at a time). I guess I'll  be about 70 miles a month running, plus 1 or 2 swims per week, plus some roadie but also more mountain biking now that it's cooled off.

What do you guys do over the "off-season"? (Is Austin still open?)
