What is everyones plan for this weekend? I will be getting in town around noon-2ish on Friday. Im gonna drive the bike course one final time to make sure that I know each and every turn and then do the same with the run portion. I am staying at the Diplomat Motel the night before the race. I have never done this race or any triathlon for that matter so I am no sure what to expect. I have heard many things about this race. Are we checking our bikes in the night before or the morning of? Do we bring our own swim caps? Is this gonna be wave starts or just one mass start? I plan on going to the pasta dinner a little early and going to the 7pm course talk and settling in for an early night if possible. If anyone wants to meet up let me know or send me a message.

Not sure of my plans, but I will probably get to town around 3pm to pick up my stuff.  Definitely worth driving the bike course.  I have riden it two times and still am not sure of every turn.  I'm taking my map.  The run is pretty easy to navigate although I never did see Uihlene drive which is supposedly part of the course.  Hllier than heck is all I can say.

I think a bunch of us are meeting up post race if that is interesting to you.

I'm staying at the AmericInn in Elkhorn - probably checkin in right at 3, driving the bike course, and heading to packet pickup.  Planning on being at the 7pm course talk Friday evening, and scoping out the race area parking situation.  I don't plan on eating the pasta dinner Friday - i typically have a large carboload lunch and a liquid (smoothie) dinner the day before a race - i like my stomach clear on race day.

i'm assuming the half will be a mass start, but i'm not sure about that.  Don't know whether swim caps are provided; i'm bringing mine just in case.  I'm also assuming bike checkin will be the morning of, since packet pickup is still available that morning (and the schedule doesn't say otherwise).
