Hi Everyone!

First a bit about me, as I am new to the Colorado swim/bike/run scene. I am from Washington (state) originally but just moved down here for grad school at UNC. I have done several running events up to 50k distance, done a couple of short duathlons/triathlons and recently (Coeur d'Alene) completed my first Ironman. Anyhow - here is the cause I am trying to help promote.

A few friends of mine are doing a huge, cross-country triathlon fundraiser for the "I Love Baseball" program - created from the "Children of the Nations" Program. They will literally be swimming and biking mostly and some running, from Seattle, WA to the tip of South Florida. At the finishing point, they will then fly to the Dominican Republic to help forward the donations they receive for the ILB foundation. Brian Bauer, the main organizer of this "trip", also completed the Ironman with me this year.

A little bit about the foundation; The I Love Baseball portion was created to develop young men into educated leaders in third world countries. I Love Baseball has a two pronged approach to developing these leaders. First, ILB utilizes world-class baseball training and coaching as a motivator and teaching tool to provide world-class education along with opportunities for leadership growth.

And secondly, ILB encourages the pursuit of educational, personal and spiritual growth in parallel with baseball and athletic training.

In order to accomplish its mission, I Love Baseball is creating a premier educational and coaching facility in the Dominican Republic to coach and educate the best minds, leaders, and baseball players. The Deliver Hope Tour is seeking to raise $300,000 in order to complete this facility.

These friends of mine are in the middle of their tour, across the U.S. in order to raise funds to reach these goals. They will be coming through Colorado, Greeley specifically, en route to a Colorado Rockies game on September 29th. It would be unbelievable for us to show our support in any way we can. They are literally looking for anything, from moral support, to energy supplements, bike gear, to monetary donations for the foundation.
