Subject: Helmet recommendations?
My bike helmet is too old (6 yrs) and needs replacing.

What are peoples recommendations please as I'm a bit out of date. Looked at the Giro Atmos and it looks lightweight and well ventilated. Anyone use one or have other suggestions please?

Thanks

My Atmos saved me from a certain head injury when I landed directly on it, so I bought the exact same one as a replacement.  Like you said, it's light and well ventilated.  I found it fit slightly different than the Ionos, so try a bunch on before you buy.

well I tried a few on, including the Atmos, but the best fit was the Specialized Propero, and at half the price of the Atmos, how could I resist

I just bought the Atmos and used it for the first time last weekend for the Bike MS ride (90-ish miles).

Very comfortable, extremely quick and easy to adjust the tightness around my head and it has giant ventilation holes.

Was wearing a Bell Vela...the Atmos is much better.

p.s.  Nashbar has them on sale right mow for $109.99

Try on a bunch first. I wear an atmos and I really like it but it may or may not fit your noggin correctly. Try on the different brands too and see which one fits you best.
