Ride Description
We are doing the Roswell Ride on Tuesday at 6pm leaving from the Roswell Area Park upper parking lot.  Starting at Roswell Area Park we ride through Historic Downtown Roswell.  We then take a few good hills followed by a ride down Riverside along the Chattahoochee, with a lot of good hills a long the way back to the finish.

A & B Group
We are doing the 22 mile route this week and depending on the turnout may have an A & B group.

Don't forget your running shoes and Taco Mac Passport
Be prepared for a short 1.5 mile run around RAP after the ride, before heading up to Taco Mac for some well earned refreshment. We usually arrive at Taco Mac around 8:15pm and it is located at 685 Crossville Rd in Roswell, GA.  Feel free to come out and share your triathlon tales at Taco Mac, even if you can't make the ride...

Weather Guideline
It's currently forecasted to be 75 degrees with a 50% chance of rain on 6pm Tuesday.  If it does rain, we will be running several 1.5 mile laps of Roswell Area Park, instead of riding, and you are welcome to join us.  If there is lightning, it will be an early trip to Taco Mac.

No Drop
The B group is No Drop a ride in case any of you want to ride but are not sure of yourself.  I'll be riding a pretty relaxed pace this Tuesday.

Don't Miss your Chance
Sunday night I rode a modified Roswell route and had to cut the ride short at 7:30pm due to impending darkness.  So that we do not need to buy headlights, next week will be our last group ride.  It's gotten down to a small dedicated group the last few weeks and I hope you get a chance to join us this week or the next.

Alpine Bakery has already been alerted to begin preparing the Million Dollar cake for next week and I have also requested Taco Mac to put extra beers on tap....  Go ahead and put in in your training calendar, set the Outlook reminder, write it in your planner, let your circle of training partners, friends, and family know.
September 22nd will be the last Roswell Ride for 2009.  Even if you only got a chance to ride with us once or twice this year, please come out and join us one last time.  Next week many of us will be tapering for Augusta, and will not be Challenging every Hill.  The last ride in the B group will be a relaxed no drop ride.

I'm in this week (9/15) if there is no rain.  If there is rain, I'm out.

I will try to get a Grandma to help us out so both brown dogs can make it for the final ride next week.  I will also bring our lights, however geeky they look.

Justin,

... and since Justin does not drink, I guess you will have to drink it for him too, very nice gesture, though.

RIDE & RUN CANCELLED
We're getting a very light rain that would not be too bad for riding in.
However, even if the rain stops by 6, the roads are still going to be very wet, and I'm going to play it safe and call off the group ride for this week.

After finding out the swim at Augusta is going to be longer than the course preview I did a month or so ago, I'm going swimming tonight instead of running at RAP...

See everybody next week!

Justin

Scott, since the ride is canceled you are welcome to join me down at Columns. I will be riding in the rain.  I will go to Taco Mac after a 30 mile ride.  I am not going to try and keep up with you though.

Justin, what does it matter if the swim is longer, hakuna matada.  It is in a river going downstream.  Roll over on your back and take a nap.  Someone will wake you up when you get to the finish.

Bummer, it's really dark and raining hard here in Roswell right now. I guess it's the gym for me. See you next week. Good luck with your swim Justin and don't let mean, old Neal rile you.

Neal, I'll see you at Columns, not sure how long or fast I will ride. I don't want to leave it all out trying to keep up with you on Columns when I have Tri 2 Remember on Saturday.

Tongue out

Forecast is for clearing up.

Scott, you must have seen me from your car because I did not see you on your bike.

I had a nice ride by myself in rain.  I say by myself.  There were some other REAL cyclists out there. I just did not know who they were.

Cindi, it is just tough love.  I am trying to toughen you guys up like my Dad did me.  He would be sooo disappointed in you guys.

Neal, OK I'm not real cyclists like you but, I was dry. I will say I don't mind getting wet, I just don't want to clean my bike when it gets wet. Hopefully see you behind me on the bike soon.

I am just kidding anyway.  I do not pleasure ride in the rain.  That is the difference between training and social riding to me.  You train in the rain.
