Subject: wetsuit for Wilmington?
I'm doing Wilmington this weekend, It will be my first one, & I'm pretty excited about it! One question...I am not sure if I want to use a wetsuit. I tend to get overheated easily, & I know I don't want a full suit. I just am not sure what the temp will be, or what it feels like at 70 degrees! I would love some advice!

The water temp down here is still pretty darn warm. I would not expect the tri to be wetsuit legal, but if it is, it will be barely.

at 7am the air temp will be cold but the water super nice to swim in. Even if was wetsuit legal I would not wear  cause you will warm up quick swimming a mile

Looks like it might be wetsuit legal...still for a sprint I am probably going to leave the wetsuit at home.

Current water trmp this morning is 80.3 degrees not looking like wetsuit wearing race.

It's a toss up. The event info said 76F Tuesday or Wednesday. Now 80? Probably depends alot on exactly where they check.

Edit: And the 2 buoys closer in show 78.

Yeah I took the water temp right at wrightville beach because it is normally 2 to 3 degress  warmenr in the channel than the ocean because its not so deep. But you are right its a toss -up
