Subject: Garmin 310XT
Does anyone know if the new 310XT will work with the old Garmin 305 Cadence sensor and the HR strap?  It looks a lot like the Polar strap I notice...so I am wondering if it will work with those as well.

I do not have a new 310xt but from what I've read: yes, they will work. The garmin site lists the same part numbers for the HR Strap and Cadence so it should be the same. Garmin DID come out with a new strap that can also work with the 310 (not sure on the 305 yet)

It does work with the 305 cadence sensor and HR strap.  I am using both with my 310xt.

PS here is the new strap, Part number:010-10997-02. It's got a softer feel and way less plastic.

It works fine with the 305 stuff. That's how I've got mine set up.

I do like that HRM strap better, though. Might need me one of those

It also works with Power Tap and Ibike HR straps. Pretty much anything except the coded Polar straps will work with any Garmin product.
