Pre-race routine:

wake up at 3:15am, on the road at 4 am, lots of coffee, jitters, peeing, remembering all the gear I forgot, banana, bagel, saying "it is friggin cold here!"

trying to stay warm by staying in the pool area, only time I was warm all day.

I cussed and prayed the entire time I was out in the countryside because of the wind. Cold wind, bike wanted to go everywhere but in a straight line. My first time with this kind of wind.

Great job out there! I don't think I've ever been so cold in all my life.  It took me 2 days to thaw out I think!
