Subject: Are you really Linda Yee?
My entire world has been crushed...

I just learned this morning (when I didn't hit the button to change the radio station fast enough) that the Steely Dan song has NOTHING to do with Linda Yee. Who knew it was "are you reeling in the years"? I've been singing it wrong since like forever.

Save me from my embarassment. What song have you always sung wrong?

Kristen

There's a whole series of books starting with Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy (misheard "Purple Haze" lyric). Pretty funny stuff.

Before I know the title of the song I thought the Garth Brooks song ‘Shameless’ had the lyrics, “I’m shaven.”  Those lyrics confused me till I learned the song title.

And I thought it was “are you reeling in the heat.”  Thanks for clearing that up.

My So thought that the Who song "Who are you?" at the beginning of CSI  was saying "Cool Water"  To this day, we joke about it, everytime we hear the song...he still insists they are saying Cool Water...cool cool, cool water.

"Feelin' like a ham and mustard shake"

(Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song)

Go listen ... totally sounds like a ham and mustard shake!

Yuck!

"Feelin' like a man that trusted you" is what it sounds like to me. Now I need to get my IPod out and see. I love that album.

My mom used to sing "Hot butter, you can check it and see" instead of "hot blooded..."  My brother and I try not to let holidays and other family gatherings end without a verse of Hot Butter.

LOL.  You totally hear "ham and mustard shake" now don't you?

I believe the proper lyrics are "feeling like a hand in rusted shame" ... whatever the f*ck that means.

I've had my hand in rusted shame, it's no picnic.
