Suzy - Scary stuff! I'm glad you were able to figure out the cause of your back pain, so you won't repeat the NA strategy. Very worthwhile post!

Doug - Awesome news on your interviews!

And for a transition bag, I just use a Nike duffel that I've had since high school that I used then to lug all of my soccer stuff in. No pockets or anything, so pretty basic.

kkcbelle - 2012-09-27 3:27 PMI haveĀ  Rocket Science transition bag -- it's old, can't find a comparable one online. I love it. Huge, zip-off bottom can be separate pack, wetsuit storage. I use it for my pool bag when I'm not racing (holds fins/pull buoy), and it's an awesome scuba backpack when Dave and I travel.

Jayne,  I have a long and proud history of peeing in the wetsuit.  I call it "turning on my personal water heater."

Roni - so scary about Jason.  All my fingers and toes crossed.

Doug - MN?!!?  WTH?  You can't leave me!!!

Sounds like people are rocking as usual.  More marathons, sprints, cross races, hard core!    Keep it up!!

2nd interview down and it looks good so far. I am posting this in response to Tracy just to let her know that this job is here in Raleigh and is almost the same commute I have now. They want me to come in for an in person interview!

Great news Doug.  All my fingers and toes crossed for you!!!

Ha! It rained.

But I wasn't planning to ride today anyway. Off to run those trails I love so much!! (Cuz the race Steve talked me into is, quite frankly, scaring the crap out of me. I'm having quad-burning nightmares just thinking about the course. Yikes!!)

Which browser are you using? My guess is it's the browser, not the Mac.

Speaking of quads, mine are killing me. From kick sets! And maybe running. But not biking.

Have a great run!

Thank you for un-Terping me.

Definitely the most painful part of my run today was when I stopped... what's up with that? Damn, I should have just kept on running!!!

Here's to a weekend of ouchie quads. Let's all treat our legs nicely. I'm already planning how I'm going to get a long foot massage out of my daughter. She gives 2-3 minutes for free, but I think tonight I need to pay for a long one. Best money ever spent.

We had a lot of trouble with Safari and have switched to Firefox.  Dunno if it's really that much better, but it works better for us.

I moved to a MAC about 3 months back and also thought Safari was really slow.  I quickly moved to Chrome which is what I was using on my Windows machine.  I think it is much better.  Unfortunately, the apple mailer still opens links using Safari.

You should be able to change the settings to make Chrome the default browser. Suzy, I also recommend Chrome over Firefox.

You are right - thanks.   I tried previously by looking into the "mail" preferences.  I just figured out you have to go into the Safari preferences and select your default browser.

Yeah, I have not been able to post lately with my old  computer. I'm looking into purchasing a laptop.

As for swim bags, I have the TYR minibackpack and I have the TYR medium duffle for the gym. The TYR bags are much stronger than any others I have had. I love them!

A former hockey player told me that Dineen took first place in his race tonight!  We have a bike stud in our midst!

Kind of excited watching the Badger vs. Husker game.  We were supposed to get killed and are up 10 points at the half.  Fingers crossed it lasts. I have a lot riding on this one.

Oh Jayne, we want pictures. NOW!
