Whew...nice hard ride today.

Conversation with Miss Thing yesterday:

Miss T:  People die in races?

me: yes, sometimes bad things happen in the middle of a race

Miss T:If you die can I have your sandals?

me: NO, I have no intention of dying in a race but sometimes it happens that's why there's so much that goes into setting up a race and the volunteers/med tent.  No, you can't have my shoes (she really wants my new sandals, they have polka dots on them and are really cute)

she also thought I should be dying for riding even 15 miles at once, yeah Miss Thing is a tri wannabe but will NEVER put herself into real training to do it.

She will freak at todays ride...

I had a great day!

VB is over!  Hip hip hooray!

I got in a nice long ride

I'm now making dinner in my wonderful kitchen (which I am going to miss very much when I move)

after dinner I'm going to paint my toenails, address graduation announcements, and maybe watch a movie

I'm going back to PA in the morning 

Oh, Forgot to say that Twizzlers makes a NIBs--pointed out to me by Miss Thing while we were in line at PetSmart yesterday...We're in all the cool junk food

Beth, Glad you got your ride in.  Sorry you'll miss your great kitchen.  Guess that will be high priority in house hunting.

Wow,what a vaca... puking kids, broken a/c in car (did I mention we went to AZ), whining kids, lots of ScoobyDoo Batman (he really needs to find the batCave to hide out in), and a little R&R.

Did ya find a place, yet?  and to think, the school year is almost over.

lyssa-gator - 2008-05-04 3:03 PM i actually got ON my bike today. i mean, i actually put my butt on the seat, and rode the pedals up and down up and down. like many many times. my thighs are a'fire, but i made 6 miles on flat ground. and i only almost wept once. i really have to do it like every day between now and saturday~since i'm supposed to be racing!! good thing i roped in a newbie to do it with, i won't look TOO bad!! LOL to make up for my embarassing ride today, i'm going to KILL it tomorrow. it's my word. just wait and see.

oh....  I'm so jealous....  I did get a phone call while on my way home yesterday.... my bike is READY!!!

hehehehe.... I totally know what you mean.  Pianist asked me today when my race is, as if it'll all be over after my first race (hmmm.... I hope that's not the case )  You just need to convince the director to cancel practice,  I hounded him three times after church today and managed to convince him that being there are no major holidays coming up and we DO have another church meeting this week that we should just cancel.  And on that note I got to send out the e-mail "No Practice"

Great job Lyssa! Just dont over do it this week - you need to have some energy left to race and Satuday!!!!
