I ll put my shoes on and run.  Then, at the mount line, without breaking stride, I will put my right foot on the pedal and throw my leg over.  I make sure the pedal is at 3 o'clock so it propels me when I get on.  From there, cliping in is easy and I just get going.


X2 - though I do intend to practice mounting with the shoes clipped in already; not fun running those long transitions in speedplay cleats.

since I race xterra, cross style mount.  running in mtb shoes isn't an issue, but finding mtb shoes which are fast to get in and out of is.

Not sure this is allowed in WTC events.  I did IMCA 70.3 and Flying Mounts were prohibited with the exception of the pro's.  You could not have shoes connected to pedals when leaving T1.
