X5 on the Nair for Men.  I used this for the first time over the weekend after watcing the BT video.  A couple of things, though:

(1) Get someone to help, preferably a lady, or two, that knows what they are doing.  There is something about doing something this emasculating that will make your brain cramp and turn you into a fumbling idiot resulting in Nair cream all over the bathroom floors and walls where it will stay active.  My poor dog.  The cream will also over places you might not intend it to go if you are not careful.  Hence:

(2) Wear a speedo if you do not intend to take it all off and/or do not move for the allotted 8-15 minutes.

(3) Follow the directions EXPLICITLY!  Unless you have sensitive sking, the burns happen when you leave it on too long.

(4) Open a window, turn on a fan, do something to get the smell out.  The Men's formula has a nice fragerance, but that will change after application to the smells of burning hair - not pleasant.

(5) Do not reapply to the places you miss.  The only lasting discomfort and burning I had were from the places I reapplied after missing on the first round.  Bad idea jeans!

I got a hold of my girlfriends epilator. The first time was a pain but after that its not to bad. You just need to wait for a little growth before using it again because it needs to be able to grab the hair.

Can't believe noone uses Veet. The stuff is 1000 times better than Nair for men, and does an outstanding job. One and done. Veet and a washcloth is all you need.

That's for the first removal of the season. After that I recycle my face razor Gillette Fusion, and it becomes my leg razor. Too dull for the face but perfect for the legs. Then I cycle on a regular basis. Now I get twice the use out of those expensive razors. It's really a perfect situation.

I too have an issue with the back of my thighs as opposed to all other places on my legs. Hair grain is just different there. I just do the best I can without taking a layer of skin off. If there is some left on, who cares. Not many people looking at the back of a man's thighs.

I took the plunge today. Nair for me,too. No problems at all-I even reapplied it to a couple of stubborn spots. Takes some getting used to-- they don't look like my legs, but it does feel cooler (temperature-wise).

I used Veet for my first removal and it worked great but it is expensive and time consuming to do everytime. Switched over to one of my wifes three blade razors to keep it groomed. Can't believe how often I have to shave though.

I hit up teh Nair tonight as well and all went pretty good. They were white as a ghost afterwards, and Im a fairly tan dude, so off to teh tanning bed I went!! Overall it was a pretty easy process, lets just hope I dont have to do it every week, that will turn into a pain!

P.S. For the single guys, how do you explain to the ladies why you sahve your legs to keep them from thinking you bat for the other side?? I've got to get a gameplan together as I knwo this will come up! haha

If shaving causes people to think "you bat for the other side" then you're playing too close to switchhitter to start with, and no explanation will help. Your self-doubt expressed here is a big give-away. NTTAWWT.

Cool

Stick to dating tri-chicks and cyclists. They get it. No explanation necessary.
