newleaf - 2008-09-29 1:18 PMMy goal was to finish my first HIM, which I did, so yes.

Same here, congrats to both of us.

Now it's time for some new goals I guess.

rc63413 - 2008-09-29 4:17 PM I didn't have any specific goals other than be consistent, try to get two workouts a day a good percentage of the time.  I was able to manage that and am happy overall with the month.

x10000+

And Also I'm very happy with my results in every Race....

Definitely came up short this month. School started up again and fitting in training has been a bit more difficult with all the group projects and homework. Hopefully October will be a bit more productive so I'll be ready for my first tri on the 26th.

I am pleased...need to work on setting specific short-term goals.

I completed first tri, maintained training level for second, and completed my run goals for the Sept running challenge.

No, didn't meet my goals, I exceeded them! I never expected to have done a half marathon and a 15k cross country run, but somehow seem to have done them on impulse, and in reasonable times.
Someone is going to challenge me to do a HIM now aren't they? I just can't refuse a challenge...

I did (surprise surprise). I wanted to do two things: 1) PR in my end of season oly, and 2) stop being a flake about training. So far so good, let's just see how long I can keep #2 up for.

Nope. Bike was a bit off as was running and swimming was quite a bit off.

Dumb hurricane messed things up

Yes, made it, if barely.  Had to log 15 miles today to meet my September running goal, but it's done.

My wife is laughing at me.

Yes, I did.  More importantly to me, I completed the "Cast Iron Club" challenge offered by InsideOut Sports.  The goal of that club was to train the equivalent of 30 Ironman distances in each discipline over 12 months.

As of last night, I had exceeded them all.  Most surprising to me is how much more time I've put into the swim (with marginal results, I must add).  So, now I have 3 whole months to slack off, right?!  Not!  Got an Oly this weekend, a 10-mile road race coming up in three weeks, followed a week later by a marathon with my wife!  Got to keep the hammer down for another month.

Yes and no. Set a high goal of running 120 miles for the month. Only managed just over 80; however, I did achieve the desired result of running more and more consistently. I managed to get through nearly all of my workouts leading up to next month's ironman, so I feel I am on track.
