Steve, you should try the 3 miler.  I am going to push myself.  I've done a couple Ironman swims this summer and finished under an hour, so I'm thinking 1hr 15min would be a good target.

I am going to try to make for the 2 or 3 miler. I will know for sure later in the week.

Great job! Great event! Look forward to the bike ride, although I am pretty sure Dick would want us to have a PBR drinking contest at the end of the ride.

There could always be a "PBR Beer Mile."  Run a mile on a track and drink a beer after every 1/4 mile.   

It was a great day today and absolutely AWESOME with the number of people that came out for it!  Just goes to show what a great community of triathletes there is in Colorado!

I was blown away by how many showed up! I was working the registration tables and everytime there was a lull, we'd think "OK, most of the people have shown up" then we'd get another wave of people! And when I walked back into the pool area around 7:30 I couldn't believe how many people were there! Way to go Colorado triathletes!

I concur with everyone else here.  I think it speaks volumes about our sport, our community, and the type of friends Richard and Julia have that we got the turnout we did.  It was awesome hearing Julia's voice before the start, too.  Can't wait for the bike ride and to meet everyone I didn't get to see today. 

What bike ride?  What'd I miss? Is there a post somewhere? 

I will take that on, on behalf of my Sunday runclub; the PubRunners, of which Richard is a member of. I am also working on a mini fundraiser for the Denver Marathon. Using the "Team In Training" model, just basically putting a sight together and getting pledges and doing the race, thought of it today , but "TriathlonSean" is on board and my friend Chris Sullivan (whom should get the credit for the idea) is going to do Dublin in late October. Plan on linking our fundraising pages to Richard and Juia's page.
