I did my first official cyclocross race and had a blast. I only fell once and laughed at it..got to ride through sand pits and all sorts of fun stuff.

Best part is my husband had a great time and can't wait to go back.

I got to simulate the Lake Placid racing by getting caught in a rain storm with the temp dropping 20 degrees and lightning everywhere still 1 hour from home.

I hadn't worked out yet today, but my training rocked yesterday because swim team season is finally starting. It feels great to be back in the pool and preparing for meets. I also had a great run yesterday. I love September weather (before the cold of fall sets in!). 75 degrees is a perfect running temperature!

My training rocked today because when I got to the pool this morning, I wasn't feeling it and bagged it...  I felt guilty as the morning went on, so I went back to the pool at lunch and got my swim in.  I feel much better now!

I had an awesome 20 mile Long Run on Sunday and now I am tapering for my first Fall Marathon.

A slammer of a Training Cycle always puts a ton of Mojo into my run during Taper Time and a strong final long run puts a big exclamation point on it

It got dark as I ran and I was the only one out there...apart from all the suckers stuck in their cars, doing 5 mile an hour in traffic jams watching me overtake them! I was on the couch this time last year...felt awesome.

My training rocked today b/c I had a pretty decent run, ate a burger, then had a beer while checking out the COJ G of BT 2008 thread...

Cheers

My training rocked today because I finally was able to swim 60 minutes non-stop without any fins or pull buoy.  That's a first for me.  Still slow, at about 2 min per 100yds but chipping away at my biggest limiter-the swim.Smile

I swam almost 1/2-mile in the seasonably warm ocean right before sunset. Living by the beach is tough

. . . there was a cute chick running on the track at the same time - this dirt/gravel track is usually deserted when I run, other than the occasional retiree walking an ankle-biter.
