I'm in too. But I don't think I really want to lose 10 lbs. This should help motivate me.

Argh.

I'm in.  But do you think I can gain 10 lbs by Oct 1?  That would make it a lot easier.   So much for the off-season.

I plan to just use the nutrition feature here...the one listed above your blog for the day.  Let me know if you try it & have any trouble as it's not the easiest thing to figure out at first.

Im in.  YES, its me.

I'm a little more excited about seeing everyone at the Turkey Trot than the weight loss process, but I'm in.  October 1 is next week.

My weightloss ticker is ready and waiting.  I've put on quite the gut during taper and recovery -- can't wait to see it go!

Nice ticker Susan   Now how do you do that?

I'm glad this challenge starts AFTER the Panerathon!  That's the only race I've done so far where I weigh more after running it than I did when I left the house.  It's the pastries that get me!  Cherry danishes mostly...ummm, anyway, anybody else running that one???

tickerfactory.com.  I've been using (ignoring) the same ticker for months so I forget how you get it on your goals; I think you set it up on their website then paste the address into your goals.

Thanks Susan, I'll check that out.

Here's the info on the Panerathon: http://www.panera-colorado.com/Panerathon6_08update/denver.html

I did the 5K last year and it was a personal best time for me.  I think because I saw the sandwiches and pastries before I started running and therefore was more motivated to finish quickly   (It was also my last race before my foot surgery)

I'm doing the 10K this year.

They also had the best goodie bag I've ever seen:  everything from shoelaces to organic dog treats in there.  It's $25 and benefits the Food Bank of the Rockies.

It's in Westminster...

I loved the Office this week.  Especially when he took that girl out and made her walk 5 miles to get back.  That cracked me up!

I'm gonna jump in. 10lbs or not, whatever I lose will be a good thing.
I'll even be up from The Springs in Denver for T-Giving, so a Turkey Trot sounds great... if I can Walk, IMAZ is the Sunday before.

Does anyone know where one can buy a tapeworm in the West Denver area?

Thanks in advance!

I know we are supposed to start on Oct 1st but seeing as i start my training week on Monday i started today. I weighed in at 174.6 my goal is to get down to under 165 so this works out perfectly.

My plan is to do masters swim on monday and wednesday with core training and stretching in the evening. then weights on tuesday, thursday and saturday followed by cardio (long runs or interval running). and hopefully a long bike ride on either saturday or sunday. i'm getting my strength training from Tripower which includes a strength, core and flexibility programs.

Sounds like a great plan!

Something I could benefit from immensely but deep down I want no structure right now Frown

Hi guys,

I'm in WI right now, but was able to get to a gym with a scale tonight...and I had a chance to get on the computer so I thought I'd check in a little early this week.  151.6 lbs. My goal is to lose 10 lbs. (minimum) by the Turkey Trot.

O.k., so what are the rules, where are we posting our weight?  Come on, give me some guidelines.  I'll be weighing in at lunch today just before I start my Sept 1 workout.
